Whew, that was longer than a Marathon

I'm a bit groggy right now but I'll emerge from the anesthesia for just a few seconds to let you all know: After almost six hours (four of them surgical), I have been transferred to the ICU. 


I will have more to say later, for example, about how I battled the anesthesia like the warrior that I am; how I fasted lattes for an unacceptable amount of time; and how the operation went smoothly with no surprises, according to the surgeon.
